JP Recruitment are seeking applications from Trades Assistants or General Hands for a role in Maddington, in an Industrial Painting and Blasting workshop. Working in a team of 5, as a team they clean, sand blast, weld/fabricate and paint machinery parts such as transfer cases of excavators or large industrial radiator fans and shrouds. This is the paint and blast division of a larger company. Your duties will vary so you will not get bored in this role. Duties include the following: Paint preparation (scraping silicone off cases) Cleaning parts or equipment, HP cleaning. Masking off and preparing surfaces for painting Assist with sandblasting (training provided) Deliveries in company vehicle (manual C class license needed) General labouring. Forklift operating - not essential but if ticketed you will be moving items around yard/workshop and load/unload trucks. Ideally we seek someone who is willing to learn industrial painting, blasting and welding. You need to be able to work within a small team so good communication skills are needed. Working hours are from 7:30am to 4pm Monday to Friday. Pay is weekly - $32/hr to $36/hr depending on experience.
